Effective Solution Focused Strengths Based Coaching enables you to explore what coaching is and the differences between coaching and other supporting professions.

It takes you through interesting self assessments including realising your level of satisfaction with different areas that make up YOUR life, visioning your ideal future, defining your desired outcome and describing your preferred future, creating goals and start points, setting targets to achieve, forming strap lines or mantras, creating a coaching plan and defining tasks and actions ahead.

Our Approach; Our extensive research and practice in both Positive Psychology and Solution Focused Brief Therapy informs tools and techniques designed and used in our approach. Solution Focused Strengths Based Coaching is based on the principles of Adult Learning: it is learner centred, self directed and relevant to you and your unique situation.

Solution Focused Strengths Based Coaching involves reflection which evolves into planning and acting on these plans. It creates a constant safe space for effective learning and developing for you.

You say –

“I felt very motivated after my personal plan to take action – being accountable kept me on track”

“It was really useful to get time and space to reflect on what I really want out of my life”

  • Visual Coaching –

As we work with you we draw out and note down the key points on a big piece of paper in front of you.

You see what you have said, this affirms your opinions and gives you a chance to reflect on or change them. We capture your ‘aha’ moments and you are able to see your insights and flow of ideas as they emerge before you.

You get a live summary of our coaching sessions, the images allow you to think creatively, assist communication, and aid your critical thinking. You begin to see patterns emerge.

Things that were complex in your head become simpler to think about as pictures and text on paper. When it is ‘read’ back to you , you have time to think about what you have said and can make any changes you want to.

We coach people from all walks of life on a variety of issues. People come for Visual coaching as staff members of or users of organisations, or because they want to try coaching in this unique way.

We also provide Visual coaching by telephone and Skype using pre drawn templates to guide you through the process.

  • Specialist Coaching – Adult learning, Confidence and well being

Following a similar process to Solution Focused Strengths Based Coaching  we coach adults in or returning to learning. drawing on professional expertise and working knowledge in teaching, adult education and guidance.

We also run coaching programmes coaching disabled adults in groups and on a 1-1 basis. I draw on experience from working alongside disabled people on educational and wider issues e.g. finding or returning to work, exploring Self Directed Support, developing confidence and connectivity.
